Turquoise, Blue Topaz and Tanzanite

December babies are lucky to be able to choose from three different birthstones including Turquoise, Blue Topaz and Tanzanite. Turquoise is the stone most frequently associated with December with artefacts containing the stone dating back to Ancient Egypt. Tutankhamen’s tomb was filled with turquoise jewellery whilst some evidence suggests Cleopatra used ground up Turquoise in her magnificent eye paint.
Turquoise rings were used by ancient warriors to stop them falling off their horses. We’re not sure that modern day warriors need much help staying on their horses, but maybe these gorgeous Turquoise rings can stop us from tripping out of our Mini Metros in front of the office hunk. The Turquoise stone varies in colour from sky blue to green, a nice reminder of the summer to come!
